Bible Study

iOS (Free)

(there is not currently a version for Android; please see information on a Bible study app for Android below)

  • The Free Accordance app includes some useful resources, including two versions of the Bible; you can access more (such as basic Greek and Hebrew dictionaries and a Bible dictionary) by setting up a free account at
  • The Bible texts are searchable by verse and word, and enable you to quickly find the Hebrew and Greek roots of words  (highlight/select a word to bring up the Grk/Heb root, and click on "Search" to search the version you are using). It is sort of like having a Bible/concordance all in one, on your iPad.
  • You can add Hebrew and Greek keyboards to facilitate use of the dictionaries.
  • Additional resources are available for purchase, and may be synchronized from Mac to iPad.

Android (Free)

also for iOS (Free)!/id336400266?mt=8

  • The free app includes Greek, Spanish, and English Bible; some dictionaries, and other reference tools (mostly older, public domain works) can be accessed online for free, but you must purchase Logos software to access items offline.
  • The free version allows for some searching (in Greek and English texts).
